Send it once, in advance, without apologising and without a paragraph of justification. Over-explaining reads as guilt, and guilt invites negotiation.

It is the first change in [time period], and it keeps the quality of what I use and the time I spend with you exactly where it is. Your appointment on [date] is at the current price. Thank you for being here — I appreciate it. [Your name]
Enough that nobody is surprised at checkout, not so long that it hangs over the relationship.
"A small increase" makes people imagine worse. State the new price for the service they actually book.
Anything already on the calendar at the old price stays there. It costs little and buys a lot of goodwill.
One sentence of reason is plenty. Long justifications invite the negotiation you are trying to avoid.
