Reminders only work
if someone reads
the reply.

Most systems send a reminder and stop. The value is in what happens when the client texts back.

When to send

One confirmation at the point of booking, then one reminder roughly 24 hours before. More than that reads as nagging and gets ignored. For high-value or long appointments a second nudge on the morning is worth it.

What to say

Name, day, time, service and stylist, in one short message with a way to confirm. Long, chatty reminders are skimmed and misread. The confirmation reply is what tells you the chair is safe.

The part most systems miss

A good share of replies are not “C” — they are “can we move it?” If nothing answers that, you have turned a reschedule into a cancellation. Our assistant reads the reply, offers real alternatives and rebooks in the same thread.

Deposits for the expensive slots

Reminders do most of the work, but on long or high-value appointments a card hold or deposit through Stripe changes the behaviour of the small group who no-show repeatedly.

What it is worth

Salons typically see no-shows fall sharply once confirmations and reminders run automatically. Put your own numbers into the calculator to see what your current rate costs you.

The assistant handles it — confirming, rescheduling or cancelling and freeing the slot — and flags anything it should not decide alone.
